Our Leadership
B.J. McMichael
Our pulpit minister is B.J. McMichael. B.J. has also served churches in Texas and Oklahoma in the areas of Youth and Family Ministry. For several years, he taught in the Department of Bible, Ministry, and Missions, and in the Graduate School of Theology at Abilene Christian University. B.J. continues a connection with Abilene Christian University’s Dallas campus as an adjunct professor in the doctoral program of the School of Educational Leadership, teaching online courses as well as directing students in their doctoral dissertation research. B.J. and his wife, Dana, have three sons and one grandson.
Dan Bridgwater, Elder
Dan Bridgwater has served as an elder at Main and Oklahoma since 2013. He previously served as an elder at the church in Kingwood, Texas for thirteen years. Dan graduated from OSU with a general science degree; now retired, his career included work with several oil companies in manufacturing and quality control, most recently Polaris Laboratories in Houston, Texas. He and his wife Norma have three daughters and seven grandchildren.
Butch Lecrone, Elder
Butch was born in Lancaster, Ohio, and then moved to Broken Bow, where he graduated from high school and went on to complete an associate’s degree in computer science from Murray State College. He began his career with Humana Insurance in 2007 and currently works as an independent Medicare broker. Butch and his wife, Joanie, have been members at Main and Oklahoma since 1984, and he has served as an elder since 2005. Butch and Joanie have two daughters, and six grandchildren.
Tim Maxcey, Elder
Tim and his wife, Charlotte, have worshipped at the Main and Oklahoma congregation since 1989, and Tim began his service as an elder in 2007. He is a partner at the Stipe Law Firm and has been a practicing attorney since 1991. Tim leads singing, works with the youth group, coaches a mock trial team, and has a daily Bible study text group. Tim and Charlotte have three sons and one grandson.
Deana Stites, Secretary
Deana Stites has served our church as secretary since 2013. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Development, and served as assistant director at McAlester Christian Academy before its closing in 2024. Deana has one son and one daughter, and four grandchildren.
